Interior Designers and Industry Partners joined forces for the third run of Hattas Studios’ Interior Design “Escape Room” Mixer. This time, the team partnered with ASID Los Angeles at Universal Appliance and Kitchen Center. The event was split into 5 groups, each on a mission to find the perfect murals, artwork, faux finishes, sculpture and custom wallpaper for their fictional clients’ home. While all 5 groups were working together to decorate the home (dollhouse), we upped the ante, offering prizes to the first group to finish their room. The Bedroom won first place, with Living Room second, and Foyer third. Each group toasted with champaign after they successfully deciphered clues and solved puzzles, making for a celebratory win for all participants!

Premier Event with ASID Pasadena, at Cisco Home
Hattas Studios and ASID has hosted this Escape Room Mixer May 2025 at Cisco Home in Pasadena, and July 2025 at Pacific Sales in Huntington Beach, where we welcomed interior designers and industry partners. We transformed both showrooms into immersive games, where players had to search for clues and solve puzzles to select, unlock and hang the perfect artworks for a picky and cryptic client.
The showrooms were divided into 5 “rooms” of a house, including a foyer, living room, dining room, bedroom and bathroom. With several custom-art designs to choose from, the groups had to pick the most appropriate pieces for the clients, before they returned home, in just 1 hour.
The games were a great success! Not only was the event fun, challenging and interactive, but everyone was a winner … completing the escape room in under an hour!
The Hattas Studios team had a great time creating this unique experience filled with creative art- and interior-design-related puzzles. In addition to creating games, the team also created 32 original artwork designs to fill the miniature dollhouse. Each design was inspired by the imaginary client, with murals based on their travels, artworks drawn from their family, sculptures inspired by their favorite stories, faux finishes coordinated to their style, and custom wallpaper made specifically to their taste.
