The Young Lady’s Suite

Walking into the Young Lady’s Suite is like stepping into a 1930s treasure trove, filled with vintage furniture, antique decor and hand-painted murals. Gwen Sukeena overcame great obstacles creating this room, having lost her home to the 2025 Eaton Fire. Having lost everything, including her original furnishings for this suite, Gwen made the decision to continue moving forward with the room, starting at square one. She spent months reimagining the space, hunting for vintage treasures, and designing custom murals for the room. The result is stunning, leaving visitors with Gwen’s inspiring space and inspiring story.
Hattas Studios helped realize Gwen’s vision with hand-painted flowers dripping down the softly glazed fireplace. The team also painted an Art Nouveau-style floral border around the room, inspired by Alphonse Mucha. And added a sweet cherry blossom branch in the ensuite bathroom.
